EXECUTIVE CHEF
We have the great pleasure of announcing that Michael Colling has joined the Fairlawns kitchen team as the newly appointed Executive Chef. Our current sous chef Calvin Stein has made some fresh changes to our Terrace restuarant lunch menu with a range of daily winter lunch time specials to keep the variety interesting. New items include pumpkin soup and butternut & toasted cashew parcels aswell as pavlova with a citrus twist of lemon curd and passion fruit salad. Michael Colling has joined his new kitchen bregade after returning from Cape town where he was based at the Mount Nelson.
GRANDE CHATEAU SUITES
Our hotel expasion project is complete. The final touches to the new Grande Chateaue suites were done in the last week of May. The the total number of suites at the Fairlawns boutique hotel and spa is officially 40. All is on track as we prepare to have the new wing available for our international guests which are joining us in Johannesburg for the Fifa World Cup festivities.

Claudia Armstrong has joined as the hotel internal sales and marketing executive. Claudia has catered the corporate and leisure market in the hospitality industry for a number of years in the Johannesburg/Sandton region. DINERS CLUB WINE LIST AWARD
We are pleased to announce our 10th Platinum win for our wine list - 2009. Look out for our new wine list selection which we are currently designing to include all the award winning wine makers and wine varieties over the past year. We are planning to host a number of wine tasting events during 2010 and will post the necessary planned dates on our website.
